UV-C light photons cause damage to cellular DNA

UV-C light photons penetrate the pathogen cell causing the DNA to change. 

This prevents the cell from replicating itself. A pathogen that cannot replicate, cannot infect.

How does the UV-C light work on pathogens?

UV light have germicidal properties, but light in the UV-C spectrum is by far the most effective.

The rays from the sun are in the UV-B and UV-A spectrum, where as UV-C is completely blocked by the earth’s atmosphere.
The AUDITE robot radiates light at exactly 253,7nm which is the maximum germicidal effect we humans can obtain.

external lamps only to disinfect both the air
